I usually use 2 inch or 3 inch paper to make kusudama balls and I happened to find this tie dye inspired origami paper in 6 inch size. Instead of using it for something else or cutting it up I tried folding it into a kusudama ball in the 6 inch size. It made a really nice big flower ball. I loved the big size and used it in my own home as decoration in the dining room hanging from the ceiling fan. The large size is a nice alternative I think is nice for decorating.
Kusudama balls are made by folding a single sheet of origami paper into a "petal" for the five petal flower. Once five petals are folded they are combined with glue form the flower. 12 flowers (60 petals) are needed to make one kusudama ball.
This large kusudama ball was made with beautiful tie dye style origami paper. It comes with white ribbon for hanging.
This piece is approx. 9 inches wide. The ribbon for hanging is 9 inches long.
This would be a beautiful ornament, room decoration, nursery decor, decorative fan pull, window decoration, wedding decoration or as a decoration over a crib in nursery.
This ornament and all items are made in a smoke free home and studio.
***There will be some variation in the paper and paper placement used on each ball because the pieces are handmade and placed, so please expect some variation from the picture.****

Yes, I can customize pretty much anything in my shop. I can make custom color schemes for any mobile, ornament, boutonniere or bouquet. I can also customize frames, gift sets and mirrors.
All origami items are made with paper and can not be cleaned with any cleaner or damp cloths. I recommend dusting with a feather duster or Swiffer type duster at least once a month. I also recommend using canned air to clean dust out from inside the folds of the origami pieces. Frames and mirrors may be cleaned using a damp cloth.
If your item is a gift I am happy to add a gift note (on a handmade card) along with an invoice with no prices on it. Please just leave a note for me at purchase. Some items can be gift wrapped (ornaments, frames and mirrors). There is an extra charge for gift wrapping and can be purchased at checkout.
Please note I am happy to make custom orders but they either need to be paid for or have a deposit put down before I start work. Each custom piece is unique and handmade, so they can not be resold if buyers back out before payment. I will send paper samples for approval to make sure orders are what you want.
