I make lots of kusudama balls and one day as I was folding the idea hit me to round the edges of the flower. I loved the way they looked individually but the effect is even more stunning when all the rounded flowers are put into a ball.
Kusudama balls are made by folding a single sheet of origami paper into a "petal" for the five petal flower. Once five petals are folded and the edges are rounded they are combined with glue to form the flower. 12 flowers (60 petals) are needed to make the kusudama ball.
This beautiful kusudama ball ornament was made with a beautiful mix of colorful patterned origami paper. It comes with white ribbon for hanging.
This piece is approx. 4 inches wide. The ribbon for hanging is 3 inches long.
This paper flower ball would be a beautiful ornament, room decoration, decorative fan pull, Christmas tree ornament, window decoration or wedding decoration.
This origami flower ornament and all the items in my shop come from a smoke free home and studio.
***There will be some variation in the paper and paper placement used on each ball because the pieces are handmade and placed, so please expect some variation from the picture.****

Yes, I can customize pretty much anything in my shop. I can make custom color schemes for any mobile, ornament, boutonniere or bouquet. I can also customize frames, gift sets and mirrors.
All origami items are made with paper and can not be cleaned with any cleaner or damp cloths. I recommend dusting with a feather duster or Swiffer type duster at least once a month. I also recommend using canned air to clean dust out from inside the folds of the origami pieces. Frames and mirrors may be cleaned using a damp cloth.
If your item is a gift I am happy to add a gift note (on a handmade card) along with an invoice with no prices on it. Please just leave a note for me at purchase. Some items can be gift wrapped (ornaments, frames and mirrors). There is an extra charge for gift wrapping and can be purchased at checkout.
Please note I am happy to make custom orders but they either need to be paid for or have a deposit put down before I start work. Each custom piece is unique and handmade, so they can not be resold if buyers back out before payment. I will send paper samples for approval to make sure orders are what you want.
